Recently I wanted to get one of those videos off of a site like YouTube and hadn't really wanted to figure that out before.  I had heard of a few sites and free tools that allowed you to be able to download an actual file from sites like YouTube, Break, and Metecafe.  I did a quick search and had heard of Vixy.net before but never tried it.  I was actually trying to get a video off of Break.com and tried Vixy first.  It just seemed to hang there for a long time and I gave up and went to searching again.  I ended up trying Vixy.net, VideoDL.org, and KeepVid.com.  Vixy and VideoDL both hung up for a long time and I tried KeepVid last and was done in a few more seconds.
