The Samsung Galaxy S3 lets you easily see how much juice is really left on your device. Go to Setttings, then Display and then check the “Display battery percentage” box.
So my father-in-law somehow lost his remote control we gave him for Christmas a year or two ago and he went back to using about 14 remotes to watch TV! Not sure how you lose a remote control that you use everyday but we are thinking the dogs may have ate it! Anyway after a month or two he had to have another one and went to Best Buy to get a newer model. He ended up getting the Logitech Harmony 650.
I went over this evening to get it set up. I’ve never had one of these remotes but they are pretty cool if you don’t like having a bunch of different remotes. This Harmony remote:
~Can replaces up to 5 other remotes
~Supports 5000+ brands
~Very simple online setup using your PC
~Color screen shows your favorite-channel icons plus commands for easy navigation
~One-click activity buttons like “Watch a DVD” automatically switch the right devices to the right settings
I think it probably took longer to get all the device IDs than it did making it all work. All in all, very easy setup and nice looking remote control. Heck he even knows now that he can pause and rewind a show on TV with the DVR he’s had for a couple of years. The new remote didn’t make that happen, he just didn’t know he could pause TV all this time!
Interesting concept. Can’t wait to see if these can actually help somebody. Not sure about everybody else that sits at a desk most of the day but my back kills me just about every day and I’m ready to try something new. Maybe this monitor should be connected to your mouse and shock the crap out of you when you are sitting with bad posture!
One thing I like so far is they updated when they said they would, actually they did it early! Got my Asus Transformer Prime yesterday, with the dock, and as soon as I got past the Welcome screens, it did a few updates and I am now on Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0.3. I can’t remember updates for my Android phones being available early with Verizon!
So, I used this year’s birthday and Christmas money to order me an Asus Transformer Prime. I should be getting it soon. I’ve been wanting an Android tablet for a while and I think this is supposed to be the most sought after Android tablet to hit the market in a while. I’ve had a couple of the original iPads for a long time but didn’t like some of the limitations. I guess I’ll get to compare soon enough! This is supposed to be the first Ice Cream Sandwich Android tablet also. I hope this ICS quad core tablet lives up to the hype!
Good reason to be able to uninstall the crap installed by AT&T, Verizon and so on. I’ve considered rooting my phone for months but always chicken out since I can’t afford to screw it up! Have you rooted your phone and if so, how did you do it and were there any problems?
What’s this going to do for the Thunderbolt world?! I’m still liking my HTC Thunderbolt even though I’ve heard a lot of bad stuff about it. No real complaints, better battery life lately and 4G in my area now too!
Well, it may not be 4G or dual core but my wife loves this new phone. The accessories and the fact that it came in something that looked like a fancy looking makeup box just did it for her! Honestly not being 4G or dual core may be why the battery last so long and I can’t see why she needs either anyway.
After she washed the HTC Incredible, the HTC Rhyme seemed like a nice replacement. I have to say it’s a nice phone and it comes with some nice accessories. I learned one thing pretty quick about the HTC Rhyme, there isn’t a removable battery!
