I have gotten a ton of these emails in the last 48 hours and have to admit I clicked on one. Not sure what it may have done to my Windows 7 64 bit machine but I will be checking into it. You might want to pay attention to what you click on as usual. Even us geeks click on things we shouldn’t!

I recently did some updates to a Windows 2003 Server remotely and there wasn’t an option to do a restart through the GUI. You can always do a reboot by the command line on machines like Windows XP and newer by using Shutdown.exe. An example would be – shutdown /r – to do a shutdown and reboot.

Well by gosh, I just found out that little rectangle box to the right of the clock shows the desktop like ‘Show Desktop’ did in XP!
